TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Officers from the Sierra Vista Police say they have made an arrest after a burglary spree.
On Wednesday, 24-year-old August R. Atencio turned himself into the SVPD after commiting a series of burglaries.
SVPD says the burglary spree started on Monday around 12:30 a.m. at the Carl’s Jr. restaurant on Fry Boulevard.
The second burglary happened an hour and a half later at a nearby McDonald’s. The third happened at Wendy’s around 2:38 a.m.
SVPD says that Atencio entered each business through the drive-thru window.
SVPD reports that Atencio stole more than $2,200 in cash. All the stolen money has been accounted for.
Atencio was charged with three counts of burglary and is being held in the Cochise County Jail without bond according to the SVPD.
